Opera Boston sells out The Pearl Fishers
Show sells out before opening - April 27, 2007
Carole Charnow, General Director of Opera Boston, today announced the entire run of the company’s The Pearl Fishers, May 4 - 8, 2007 at the Cutler Majestic, is sold out.
This marks the first time in the history of the company that an entire run has sold out in advance. Opera Boston's February production of The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny was the first time the company ever sold out any show in advance of opening.
Said Charnow, "We’re very pleased. All shows are sold out before we've even loaded into the theater. And subscription renewals for next season are very strong, so we know people are starting to realize it's a hot ticket. What a great way to end our season, as we look forward to opening next season with Golijov’s Ainadamar."
